Youth Ministry
Our Youth Ministry exists to glorify and exalt God. This is the purpose behind every event, every meeting, every activity, in everything we say and all that we do. We aim to see the Gospel applied in the lives of teenagers, trusting it is the power of God to save and transform them into young men and women who worship God.
We believe parents have the primary responsibility for biblical training and discipleship of their children throughout the teenage years. We believe parents play an irreplaceable role in the forming of Christian character in the lives of their teens. The responsibility of the church is to support and supplement parents as they seek to direct their children, while also providing an essential teaching voice that offers biblical truths for the entire family.
Currently, our Junior and Senior High youth meet bi-weekly in a home for times of fellowship and study. Parents are encouraged to participate in every activity and guests are always welcome. Contact the church office for more information.
What are we studying right now?
The Junior High
A five week study on 1 Timothy 4:12 “Let no one despise you for your youth, but set the believers an example in speech, in conduct, in love, in faith, in purity.”
The Senior High
The Blazing Center by John Piper.
God’s pursuit of glory and our pursuit of joy are not at odds. Because God is most glorified in us when we are most satisfied in him.
Recorded in eight 30-minute sessions at a Youth Retreat, John Piper explains from the Bible why God is so passionate about his glory, why our happiness depends on God’s pursuit of his glory, that God actually commands us to pursue our happiness, how joy in God overflows in love to meet the needs of others, and how only joy in God can sustain us in times of profound suffering.
