We are moving to Sundays!
OC Plaza – Easter Sunday – April 4, 2010 at 10:00am
After a few years of holding Saturday services, we are eager to transition our weekly worship services to Sundays. We haven’t found a place and we don’t know when we’ll make the switch, but we are confident that God is leading us to pursue this transition. In particular, we have two big reasons why:
To better position our church members to enjoy the Lord’s Day.
To better position our church to impact Orange County with the Gospel.
There’s nothing wrong with Saturday services and we’ll approach each remaining one with joy and faith. But it’s going to be great to make the move!

February 21, 2010 from 9:00am-12:00pm. March 7, 2010 from 9:00am-10:00am – Church Financial overview, Q and A with the Leadership Team, a time of corporate prayer, and a visit to a potential facility the OC Plaza. Location and childcare TBD. Lunch at the nearest In-N-Out Burger (of course!)
Special Offering
March 13, 2010 – February 27, 2010. We will receive a special “Move to Sunday” offering during our Saturday service. Individuals unable to participate in the service can mail a donation and pledge card to:

Financial Details:
We are grateful for the many people in related Sovereign Grace Ministry churches who have contributed to our local mission. Their giving, along with the generous support of our members, has worked to provide (just six months after our official launch) a measure of financial stability and strength. Thanks be to God!
As we now face the increased expenses related to a Sunday service, we believe this is an opportunity to call us again to sow generously into our mission. Our hope is to raise sufficient funds to:
Secure a short-term lease on a facility in central Orange County.
Improve and equip the facility for weekly worship services.
Ensure appropriate cash reserves are maintained for church operations.
Though many of our ministry partners stand ready and willing to support us, it seems the next step is to ask “What can we give?” and not “What can they give?” To this end, we are encouraging all members to prayerfully consider how they might participate in our “Move to Sunday” Fund.
Our goal is to raise $20,000 $17,000 in donations above and beyond what our members are currently contributing on a regular basis. We need to receive $12,000$8,000 before April, 2010 (to meet up-front costs), with the remainder received before January, 2011. There will be an option of making a pledge (monthly or a one-time donation).
