A rambling list of things I remember from the weekend…
- Ron Boomsma loves sovgraceoc.
- Jonathan Baird spent the afternoon encouraging our worship team.
- Jonathan Baird led worship…and we clapped our hands off!
- I love looking out at so many 20somthings in the church. What is God saying?
- Praying for Pacific Church. They’ve been so kind to allow us to use their building.
- Has Jesus been your car mechanic? No real relationship…you just ask him to fix your problems.
- Has Jesus been your UPS delivery man? No real relationship…you just expect him to bring your stuff.
- Jesus prayed for glory. Don’t use Jn 17 as a “how to pray” program.
- We pray “Father, change the future.” Jesus prays “Father, prepare me for the future.”
- 3 Torres brothers worshiping together.
- Nerd is the technical term for a person who tapes a barcode to their Operation Christmas Child box. Ha!
- Saturday night was the first time I’ve ever been called a nerd.
- The story of Lot’s wife turning to salt made my 5 year old daughter cry. The bitter sting of sin.
- I say “youth” and the church applauds…almost every time. That’s awesome!
- Ladies praying together in the middle of the crowd.
