I’m so grateful for everyone who put up their time and money and talents to make NEXT possible. This conference was hosted by Sovereign Grace Ministries and targeted primarily to young singles and married…the “next generation.”
Not surprisingly the testimonies are starting to roll in! Here’s one from Mark, a good friend of our church…
Next was fantastic!! God was really working on me the whole time, from even before I arrived. I drove up from North Carolina with my friend Jon and he and I had a great time talking on the drive up. I was encouraged as the Lord used him to speak God’s truth to me in a helpful way.
Each one of the messages and times of singing I found to be a fantastic time of one building on the next, with the Lord showing me areas of sin in my life, and areas I need to grow in. Some of the areas He showed me were pride and envy and a need to place Him above all other desires. CJ Mahaney’s message on progressive sanctification served to assure me of my salvation, remind me that God is not limited in His power to progressively work toward my sanctification and remind me that I must work with Him on my sanctification. This all showed me how I had set marriage up as an idol and was envious of those who were married.
It was also great spending time with the guys from Sovereign Grace OC and Pasadena throughout the conference.
