Here’s Joel’s T10 testimony from last Sunday. He’s the guy on the left in the photo (Can someone identify who he’s standing next to? Just kidding…hi Malah!).
T10 was great and very encouraging. The sermons, the fellowship, the food (ok, no…not the food). It was all great!
What stood out to me the most was the singing. Since the theme of the conference was “Beholding God” the singing was also centered on beholding God and the lyrics focused primarily on God’s attributes and character.
Usually when I’m singing these kinds of songs I think to myself, “Yeah, God is all-powerful…but so what? That means He can heal me…that’s about it.” However, it was different at the conference. As Bruce Ware spoke about the various attributes of God and really going into depth, God really opened my eyes to more of who God is.
A highlight for me was during the second sermon in which Dr. Ware spoke on the God of self-sufficient fullness, and how out of His infinite love he desires to share that love (in part) with us. As we sang songs in response to these truths (sermon after sermon) the meaning of this all impacted me. In particular, the song “Behold Our God” (how perfect right?) meant so much more. I pray this will continue to stay with me long into the future.
Amen! So be it. May God make all we heard and experienced at T10 stick! And thanks Joel…I’m so glad to be joined to young men like you who love the Lord.
